** Open Farm Sunday**

Every wondered what happens down on the farm? Well we welcome you to come and find out

When - On Sunday 13th June between 11am and 4 pm

Activities include:-

• Tractor Rides
• Cows milking at 3pm
• Nature Trail
• Animal Petting Corner
• Local Hot Beef Baps available

So why not enjoy a day out down on the farm.

Monneley Farm is a tenanted family run farm. It has 400 acres of which there is 80 acres grown as maize, 50 acres grown as wheat with the remainder as grassland. We are managing 90 acres of the farm under a Countryside Stewardship Scheme.

We have a dairy herd of 150 cows plus followers, it is a multi breed herd comprising Holsteins, Jerseys and Ayrshires. The milk is sold to Muller based at Market Drayton in Shropshire, as a milk buyer they have a preference for protein.

Our average yield figures are:
8,500kg 4.5% Fat and 3.3% Protein

John manages the farm on a day to day basis, with help from wife Amanda, his parents and a full time employee.
